Situated in the heart of Clayton, Manchester, St Willibrord’s is a vibrant and welcoming Catholic primary school serving a diverse community of around 250 pupils. We are proud to be a place where every child is encouraged to "Grow In God," reflecting our mission to nurture spiritual, academic, and personal growth in a safe and inclusive environment.
Our school community is wonderfully diverse, welcoming pupils from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and many who are learning English as an additional language. We are deeply committed to supporting all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. We tailor our personalised curriculum to meet the individual learning needs of every child, ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
At St Willibrord’s, we focus on developing strong foundational skills in literacy and numeracy, with a special emphasis on raising writing standards and early reading success. Our dedicated staff also prioritise pupil and staff wellbeing, ensuring a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
Faith is central to our school life. We underpin our curriculum with the Religious Education Directory and promote pupil involvement in child-led prayer, liturgy, and leadership, helping our pupils grow as compassionate and responsible members of both our school and the wider community.
We invite you to explore our website to discover more about our ethos, vibrant school life, upcoming events, and the achievements of our pupils. Whether you are a prospective parent or part of our community, we warmly welcome you to join us on this journey of growth and faith here at St Willibrord’s.
